Night photography is so much fun! All of these photos were taken without flash.

I actually had the opportunity to visit the real Trevi Fountain in Rome and I must say that the lighting is better on the fake one, not that I’m complaining about the real one.

Who knew a fountain could be so inspirational and moving?

I waited for about 20 minutes to watch the volcano go off! Totally worth the wait!

My first Cirque Du Soleil show was Mystere! It was sooooooo incredible and a total sensory overload. Too bad I couldn’t sneak my camera in.

Words just can’t express how much I just adore Kelly and Brendan. After meeting them at a local Starbucks last year, we instantly connected and I really enjoyed hearing their story about how they met through online dating. I must say that they gave 110% during their engagement session. They were patient, completely open minded and they were certainly up for any crazy idea that I had which always makes for a successful session. The end result is a wide variety of unique poses and candid interactions that hopefully show off their unique connection and love for one another. On a side note, The Cotton Mill in McKinney never disappoints when it comes to engagement and wedding location options in the DFW area. I am SUPER excited to photograph their wedding day at The Cotton Mill in March so stay tuned.

Hi friends! I am slowly but surely making changes and updates to the blog and website so hang in there… one of these days the project will be complete.

Onto the fun stuff… I recently had the opportunity to photograph a destination wedding in Las Vegas, NV while assisting and second shooting with Lyncca Harvey. Over 5 days we covered a TON of ground, took lots and lots of amazing photographs, and had a blast. Pat and Robert’s wedding ceremony took place at The Venetian followed by an amazing wedding reception just across the street at The Mirage. Pat and Robert planned for us to photograph their Trash the Dress session at a super unique location called The Neon Museum. This location is by far one of the most fun locations I have ever had the opportunity to shoot at thus far. It is so colorful and full of Vegas history! Pat and Robert totally rocked it out!

I was so incredibly honored to photograph Angie + Damon’s recent wedding at The Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dallas followed by an absolutely stunning wedding reception at Sky Lobby Chase Tower. The day started off at the Sheraton located in the heart of downtown Dallas. I found a fun frozen yogurt shop to photograph the wedding details in and I personally think that the bright colors are so much fun! After the bride and groom were officially dressed it was time to blindfold Damon for the first look at Lakeside Park in Highland Park. Seeing the look on their faces as they saw each other for the first time was priceless. I highly recommend a first look and actually wish I would have done one myself. Overall, the day was a true reflection of Angie and Damon’s love and I believe everyone in attendance felt it in their hearts.

An interesting fact about Angie is that I actually was in the same kindergarten class with her. It honestly just blows my mind, I never would have dreamed in a million years that I would one day photograph her wedding. I’d say we both have come along way sine kindergarten, drill team and health class. He he!

If only you knew how difficult it was to hang Angie’s wedding dress just for this one photo… I hope they don’t have security cameras in that Sky Walk.

I recently had the opportunity to help my awesome friend Kendra of KT Photography photograph Ashley and Randy’s wedding day. It was filled with unique turquoise and red wedding details at a beautiful wedding location called Ashton Gardens located in Corinth, TX. One of my absolute favorite and most memorable parts of this day was the Daddy/Daughter dance hands down. The dance started out to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle which is pretty much a classic, then there was a DJ scratch sound effect….. The next thing you know, Ashley and her Dad busted out some awesome sunglasses and were doing the superman mixed with other “hip” moves! Best Daddy/Daughter dance I have seen so far!

I have been looking forward to shooting Ashley and Landon’s wedding for just about a year now. The coolest part about our connection is that I have known them basically my entire life. You see, we all went to school together in the (not so small anymore) town Wylie, TX and were in the same grade. I would have never guessed back in junior high school that I would be photographing their wedding day years later. Having gone to school with them and knowing their story from the beginning made their day even more meaningful for me behind the lens. I can’t tell you what a joy it was for me to photograph their beautiful day. Not to mention, they are truly a beautiful couple inside and out!

Landon probably has the neatest handwriting of any guy I’ve ever seen!
