I just sent my oldest daughter off to pre-school for her big Valentine’s Day party. Did any of you other Moms out there spend a good two hours working on a Valentine’s Day box to hold cards and candy over the weekend? I didn’t realize how difficult and time consuming it would be to glue heart confetti. Oh the things I do for my children! Here is a peek at Addison’s super cute custom card that I created for her…

Check out our 2010 family Holiday Card! I LOVE LOVE LOVED it printed on pearl paper. My husband didn’t really “get” the t.v. theme so I basically said (after working on it for an hour in photoshop) that if he didn’t like it then he could go to Walgreens and have his very own (cheesy) holiday card printed. That wasn’t very nice of me was it?! After some deep consideration, he decided that he would not take me up on that challenge. Ha!

I couldn’t let Christmas pass by without sharing my Christmas Tree Bokeh! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season as much as I am!

Veterans Day has now taken on a new meaning in my family. Some of you may or may not know that my husband is currently serving in the U. S. Navy. He spent 10 months training and then serving in Afghanistan and he returned home April 2010. I can honestly say, seeing him step off of that white bus onto American soil walking up to me is one of the proudest days of my life. I can’t even tell you how hard the time apart was, I worried about him each and every minute of everyday. My heart goes out to all of the Military wives. Thank you Mark and to all other Veterans that have served in the United States Military.

I thought I would share a few photos from Mark’s deployment as a look back. Obviously, these were taken with a point and shoot camera.

On Saturday morning, I woke up at 5:15 a.m. {I’m not a morning person.. trust me}, got ready, drank a Blue Monster {my fav energy drink}, loaded up some Halloween Props and drove to my first in studio Fashion Shoot in Dallas, TX. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous about my first in studio shoot and working with new lighting but I really like the results! The parents were so nice and helpful during the shoot and all the little models totally rocked their outfits! We only had a few tears which went away at the idea of getting a sucker! It’s funny, I never know if the kids will laugh, dance, sing, cry, run away, or throw my pumpkins at me. They are all so different and unique and it was fun for me to get to know their personalities during the photo shoot.

In my spare time, I somehow find myself on Etsy looking at shop after shop, drooling over all of the fabulous items that people make. I wish I was patient enough to make things! I would love to learn to knit, sew and make bows (maybe someday).
