I recently photographed Alexa’s sun-kissed senior session at Harry Myers Park located in Rockwall, TX and I was absolutely amazed by Alexa’s accomplishments as a senior! She is a very driven and outgoing girl who has accomplished a lot at a fairly young age. She was homecoming princess both junior and senior year, started her own non-profit organization at 17, was just voted class favorite and most likely to succeed by her peers at school, and will also graduate salutatorian of her class. Talk about extraordinary!

I remember it like it was yesterday, I was in Mrs. Moore’s 5th grade math class and I met a new friend named Ashley. She was out-spoken, funny, and never stopped smiling! Little did I know, she would become my best friend and we would take on many adventures together!

I could not be more happy and excited that on June 3, 2012, I will stand by her as she says “I Do” and marries the man of her dreams in Denton, TX. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from Part I of their engagement session at the beautiful Canals at Las Colinas. Enjoy! Now, bring on the Matron of Honor duties!

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything personal so I thought I’d share a couple of recent photos of a Mommy/Daughter photo-shoot with my sweet Addison and Lillian. It seems like the days go by faster and faster as they get older. I’m so thankful photos have the power to freeze time forever! XOXO

Tannoz and Joseph recently married at the beautiful Horseshoe Bay Resort located in Horseshoe Bay, TX. The drive to their destination wedding went super smooth, the weather was absolutely perfect, and the day was filled with love. Their children a.k.a. little dogs served as their flower girl and ring bearer and it was so adorable! I must say that taking their family/formal photos with Lake Lyndon B. Joshson and a beautiful sunset in the background was perfection! I absolutely LOVED the sandy beach and pretty details at their wedding. Tannoz and Joe’s guests were so welcoming to me and my guest photographer that we literally felt as we were apart of their family.

Jenn and Jack recently celebrated their recent five year wedding anniversary with me as I shot their uber fun trash the dress session in the heart of Deep Ellum and at one of my favorite spots near White Rock Lake. Jenn wanted both of these locations to represent their style as a couple, which is a little bit edgy & modern mixed with a little bit of a country vibe. It was an absolute blast, especially because Jenn is a photographer herself so we totally clicked! What a fun way to celebrate a milestone anniversary! In fact, I just might have to do a trash the dress session with my husband for my upcoming 5 year anniversary, that is, if I can talk him into it.

Night photography is so much fun! All of these photos were taken without flash.

I actually had the opportunity to visit the real Trevi Fountain in Rome and I must say that the lighting is better on the fake one, not that I’m complaining about the real one.

Who knew a fountain could be so inspirational and moving?

I waited for about 20 minutes to watch the volcano go off! Totally worth the wait!

My first Cirque Du Soleil show was Mystere! It was sooooooo incredible and a total sensory overload. Too bad I couldn’t sneak my camera in.

Every single time I photograph a wedding, it never fails, the Daddy/Daughter dance gets me every time. I just can’t help but think that one day that will be Addison and Lillian dancing with their Dad at their big wedding one day. Just to imagine that for one single second, brings tears to my eyes. I watch how the Dads dancing with their daughters fight back the tears and when the song ends, I can tell they don’t want to let go. Time goes by so… fast which is why I’m so thankful we recently had our family pictures taken to freeze this time forever. They will only be little once! I am SO very blessed with an amazing husband and sweet little girls. Check out some of my favorites below…

This week over at iheartfaces the theme is Oh So Silly! One of the silliest people in my life is by far my little two year old Lillian Kate also known as Silly Lilly. I’m sure she’ll appreciate the nickname when she’s older.

 I was attempting to take some “artsy” photos of her with newspaper in the background and she decided to take the photo shoot in her own direction. All she really cared about was holding up this disguise. At this age, I’ll take what I can get.

You guys know I don’t shoot very many family sessions these days but I always make room in my schedule for loyal clients that have been with me from the very beginning. This family is very special and I always have so much fun shooting their photography sessions. Bryan is the pastor at Northplace Church in Sachse, TX and is the author of the newly released book called extravagant.
