I was 16 going on 17 and he was 17 going on 18. It was our first official date. I remember being cold in the front seat of his old Volvo on our way to The Cheesecake Factory and just a little bit nervous as any girl would be. He was being just a little on the quiet side which we now joke about all the time. So, I did what anyone would do to fill the awkward silence on a first date. I asked obvious questions to get him talking.
One of the first questions I asked was how many brothers and sisters do you have? It caught me by surprise when he said oh I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and of course he had to add that he was in the middle! On that first date, I never imagined that asking that question would lead to 7 years of being apart of a wonderful and growing family that I love and care for so deeply.
As the years have gone by it seems the more we have all spread out. From New York City , Austin, Dallas, Rexberg to Zillah The Swallow Family is all over the map! Obviously, it was a very special occasion for us all to be together on Christmas day. You know what special occasions call for? A photo shoot of course!
From left to right meet –>
Reed, Carol, Grandpa Mull, Grandma Mull (taking photo), Carlie (+ Baby), Dustin, Julie, Matt, Me, Addison (4), Lillian (1), Mark, Erika, Kyle, and Rylee

The next time we do a group photo like this, I suspect we will have more kids in the picture!

This is a photo that I set up with a little Twilight inspiration in mind. Did we nail it or what? Watch out Cullen Family!

Since I named my business Live. Laugh. PHOTOGRAPH. It’s only appropriate that I post the out take of me laughing!![]()
